Yellowcard Will Be Touring Australia For The Last Time Without Their Original Drummer

Yellowcard fans hoping to see the band perform their final ever Australian tour with what could be considered their “classic” lineup are in for a slight bit of disappointment.

The pop-punks have responded to questions about whether longtime drummer Longineu W. Parsons III (sidebar: what a name!) would be re-joining the band for their forthcoming farewell world tour dates. Taking to Facebook, they broke the news that Yellowcard’s founding beatman – who played with the group from 1997 all the way up to 2014 – would not be involved in proceedings.

“Hey, everyone. We have noticed some of you have been writing us about Longineu Parsons joining the band again for our final tour,” they said. “Out of respect for him and his future interests, we will not be disclosing any details. However he will not be joining the band.”

“We are stoked to see all of you soon on our final world tour. Thanks.

-Ryan, Sean, Ryan, and Josh.”

The lads have been touring with session drummers Cyrus Bolooki and Rob Chianelli for their 2016 dates so far, but have yet to confirm who’ll be behind the skins for their Aussie dates.

Yellowcard will be performing on our shores for the final time in February of 2017.
